About Dr. Dan Fleishman

Dr. Dan Fleishman graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic in 1997.  As a new graduate, he was full of excitement and enthusiasm about what the future held for him and his new practice.   There were certain things that school did not prepare me for in the “real world” as a doctor. One of the main struggles for the profession has been  how patients perceive what Chiropractic is and what it is not.  I know this to be truly rampant in our profession simply by the fact that we as Chiropractors are treating less than 10% of the population, and this fact has been true for many years. If people had a true understanding of what Chiropractic can accomplish in helping to create whole body wellness, each one of our  practices would be flooded with eager patients, bringing their entire family in tow.

Many Chiropractors have experienced the frustration of having patients in their practice that don't seem to get the big picture.  As soon as little Johnny gets a runny nose he's taken to the medical doctor for the drug of choice.  My question is: Why would you take your child or loved one to a profession that has a preventable death rate of nearly one million people per year, and rising with no end in sight? Keep in mind that I am not talking about the emergency life saving interventions that the medical profession excels in, but rather the "sick care" that is taking over our country, and the world. How many of your patients bring their entire family in for Chiropractic wellness care?

We as Chiropractors owe the public a better education on what our profession provides in the way of healthcare. Through our current lack of education with the public, we have allowed our profession to become "pigeon-holed" as a combination “neck and back pain specialist, and massage and physical therapist”. How many of you have been to a social gathering or event only to have someone say to you, “Can you just pop me here?”  How often do you think a surgeon is asked at a party to just “slice” them here?  How about meeting a dentist at a networking event, and asking him or her to pull a bad tooth at the dinner table?  It just doesn’t happen!  The Chiropractic profession should demand the same level of respect as any practitioner in the healthcare field.

We Chiropractors perform miracles everyday with our hands and our expertise.  How many of us doctors have heard from one or more patients that we were their last hope, or that we saved them from having surgery that was not needed?  I know I’ve had this happen in my office many times over.  Just add an additional 55,000 Chiropractors in the U.S. alone, and we have the opportunity to positively impact millions of lives each and every day!

Every doctor of Chiropractic has the potential for a "waiting list" practice if they choose to have one.  It should not be difficult to experience an enjoyable and fulfilling life in practice; however, to do this we need to do two things as a profession. First, educate our patients and their families.  Second, lets work to support each others' unique qualities and individuality within our own profession. There is room in this profession for all of us to shine in our own way. We need to come together and stand strong and united.  The Doctors' Education Community  portion of this website is designed to do just that, as we will soon be adding a Chat Room for Chiropractors and C.A.'s.

We hope you enjoy this website and the services designed to help stimulate and inspire you.  We look forward to your continued feedback to help us create, develop and offer the products and services you have come to know and trust.  We are always appreciative when receiving emails from you advising us how our products, or the Doctors' Education Community has helped you in practice!

Wishing you success,
Dan K. Fleishman, D.C.
